Abstract

1,130,482. Door latch handles. E. HOLDEN & CO. (BIRMINGHAM) Ltd. 8 Feb., 1967 [10 Feb., 1966], No. 5841/66. Heading E2A. In a handle of the kind which is biassed against rotary movement by a coiled spring 16, the fixed abutment 17 for the spring is so shaped or positioned that at all times the spring is urged against a supporting surface at the side of the spring remote from the axis of rotation of the handle. As shown, the spring 16 is located between the fixed abutment 17 and a hook portion 15 of a member 13 such that in use of the handle the spring is urged towards an adjacent flange of an attachment plate 11. In another arrangement, Fig. 5 (not shown) a spring is provided at each side of the member 13.
