Abstract
1,127,778. Air heating stoves. CURCHOD BAERISWYL & CIE S.A. 12 Oct., 1965 [7 Jan., 1965], No. 43262/65. Heading F4S. Air is forced through a casing 1 by a blower 8 and is heated as it flows over a combustion unit 2 (fired by either solid, liquid or gaseous fuel), and over the outer surfaces of the tubes 14 which surfaces are profiled e.g. grooved, to increase the heat transfer area. The heated air passes out of the top of the casing through openings not shown, and combustion gases from the unit 2 are exhausted from a pipe 7 after passing through the tubes 14 in which the gas flow may be maintained near the tube wall by one or more baffles 18, 19.
