Abstract

1,118,910. Valve gear; lubricating. DR.-ING. h.c.F. PORSCHE K.G. June 15, 1967 [July 7, 1966], No.27689/67. Heading F1B. An I. C. engine comprises cylinders arranged in a single longitudinal row each with a separate cylinder head 1, 2, 3, Fig. 1 and a cam-shaft 12 mounted in a tubular support member 4 on the cylinder heads. Cam-shaft 12 which is driven through a sprocket 31 has cylindrical bearing surfaces which bear on the support 4. Flange 30 is held against the support by a spring 32 and ball 33. The support 4 has cut-outs (22), Fig. 2 (not shown) for rocker levers (10), (11) supported on bolts (13), (14), from hydraulic adjusting mechanisms (25) which are supplied with fluid through passages (23), (24) from a duct (20) which also supplies lubricant to the cam-shaft bearings through a passage 21.
