Abstract

1,144,398. Valve gear. MASCHINENFABRIK AUGSBURG-NURNBERG.A.G. July 4, 1967 [Sept.3, 1966], No.30828/67. Heading F1B. In an I.C. engine valve drive which incorporates a crosshead 3 interposed between valves 1 and an actuating rocker 2, the valves are provided with clearance adjustment screws 7 and the crosshead has a bearing surface with which the rocker operatively co-operates and which is constituted by a hardened steel plate 6 secured to the crosshead by components associated with the adjustment screws. Lubricant is forced through a bore 8 in cup 5 and through bore 9 into crosshead grooves 10 to feed the valve stems through bores 11 and through bore 12 into the crosshead guide.
