Abstract

1,118,684. Trays; packages. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. 25 Jan., 1967 [17 Feb., 1966], No. 3749/67. Headings B8C and B8P. A package contains brittle articles each placed n a separate transparent plastics capsule 2 on which an opaque possibly labelled closure 3 is stuck with pressure-sensitive ahesive. A plastics tray 1 is formed with wells or holes 4 so that the capsules 2 are push fits into the wells and frictionally retained there until pushed out from beneath for use. There is a lip 9 to facilitate removing each closure 3 which may be re-used. The tray 1 as shown may be separated into two pieces by fracturing along the line of perforations 7. The tray 1 may be formed by injection moulding and have holes 15 to facilitate hanging it up.
