Abstract

1,114,230. Swimming/propelling apparatus. J. B. PILLON. 27 Feb., 1967 [3 March, 1966], No. 9150/67. Heading A6D. An apparatus consists of a floating support 1 on which a person in the swimming position rests on his chest and possibly on his stomach and a propulsion device comprising a manual control unit 25 coupled to a screw-propeller 26 by a drive system 31/33, the device being carried by a removable centreboard 2 slidably mounted in a longitudinal groove formed on the undeside of the support, the centreboard being secured to the support in a desired position by a locking means. The centreboard is preferably fitted with the stabilising elevator plane 34.
