Abstract

1,199,908. Filters. THOMSON-CSF. 11 March, 1969 [12 March, 1968], No. 12856/69. Heading H1W. A band-pass filter for microwaves includes at least one tunable resonant cavity constituted by a solid dielectric body coated with metal. As shown, a plurality of cavities 10, 11, 12, 13 are separated by walls 40, 41,. -.44, and are connected in cascade by probes 30, 31, 32 which are mounted in insulating bearings 50, 51, 52 and project into central cylindrical cavities formed through each cavity. The cavities and separating walls may be formed of silvered quartz, and the insulating bearings 50, 51, ... 54, of unsilvered quartz. Threaded apertures 20, ... 23, receive alumina tuning screws.
