Abstract
1,252,862. Microwave filter. LICENTIA PATENT - VERWALTUNGS G.m.b.H. 26 March, 1970 [11 April, 1969], No. 14723/70. Heading H1W. A microwave comb filter in which a number of metal comb elements 3, 5, 7, 14 &c: are coupled together (as shown by a side wall 2 of a waveguide section 6) comprises additional capacitative coupling by means of at least one metal spring 9 attached to a comb element and extending such that the free end of the spring lies opposite the end of the adjacent comb element. This capacitative coupling is adjustable by means of dielectric screws 10 which engage the springs 9, each comb element being electrically insulated from the adjacent element by providing an insulating coating on the spring either on the outer surface of the anchored end or on the inner surface of the free end. The capacity between each comb element and the side walls is adjustable by means of metal screws 11, 12 (Fig. 3, not shown). Input and output to the filter are respectively by coaxial connections 8 and 14.
