Abstract

1,190,037. Magnetic switches; mechanical switches. WARMEX Ltd., and A. GOLDSTEIN. 1 Sept., 1967, No. 40073/67. Addition to 1,108,513. Heading H1N. The coil of the electromagnetic switch of the parent Application is connected in series with contacts of a mechanical switch. The movable contact 16 of the mechanical switch is mounted on a weighted lever 13 rotatable about a shaft 15 to which it is connected by a slip-clutch 14 and the " fixed " contact 20 is mounted on a lever 19 biased against a stop (not shown) by a weight 21. The shaft 15 has a roller arranged to be rotated each time a towel T is removed from a stack thereof so that contacts 16, 20 close to operate the electromagnetic switch which energizes a hot-air blower (22), of hand-drying apparatus, for a set time as in the parent Application. The contacts 16 20 may also be closed by operation of a pushbutton 25.
