A switch comprises an insulating rectangular boxlike body a having fixed contacts b in the base. Bridging metal strips fare carried by a slidable bar e and urged against the base by springs i which also hold the bar e against two rods d secured transversely across the body a. A finger-piece m actuates the bar e by a snap-action toggle mechanism engaged with a fulcrum p on the bar e.
