A casting alloy consists of 10-15% Si, 0À003- 0À04% Na, up to 1% in total of one or more of Li, Ti, Bi, Pb, or rare earth elements, Al, the remainder. The alloy may also contain up to 0À4% Fe, and up to 0À1% each of the following: Cu, Mg, Nn, Ni, Cr, Sn, Ca, V, Ga, B.
