Abstract

1,174,327. Spring-operated door closer with check device. ZAVODY UMELECKE KOVOVYROBY NARODNI PODNIK. 27 July, 1967 [24 Sept., 1966], No. 34594/67. Heading E2M. An automatic door closer with cam control is characterized in that the body of the door closer is provided with an oil-filled cylindrical cavity 2 divided by pistons 5, 6 into three hydraulically communicating spaces, the pistons being moved by a cam 14 arranged between them and being pressed towards the cam by springs 26, 27 and 28. The intermediate chamber (space) communicates with the second chamber via opening 7 in piston 5, and with the third chamber through channels 8, 9 in the wall of body 1. The piston 6 limits the damping space by. means of discharge channel 9 provided with regulating needle 13; the damping space being filled with oil via suction channel 8 on rotation of the door. The stroke of piston 6 may be adjusted by screw 29 engaging oblique surface 31 of the piston.
