Abstract

1,150,004. Mounting spindle for bobbins. VYZKUMNY USTAV BAVLNARSKY. 1 Aug., 1966 [2 Sept., 1965], No. 34428/66. Heading D1J. The invention is concerned with a rotatable package supporting sleeve 3 comprising means to prevent backward rotation of the package 14. The sleeve 3 rotates about a stationary horizontal pin carrying an end disc on which a plate 7 is mounted. Trapped between the plate 7 and the inner surface of the sleeve 3 is a ball or roller 10. The plate 7 is so positioned that when the sleeve 3 stops rotating the ball or roller 10 can settle in a position where its potential energy causes it to wedge between the plate 7 and the sleeve 3 and so prevent backward rotation of the package 14. The material on the package 14 is unwound in the direction of the arrow 13. One position for thep late 7 is shown in full lines. An alternative setting is shown in broken lines.
