[Also in Division A4] A cleansing agent dosing device for a dishwashing machine is mounted on the inside of a flap of the machine and comprises a cleansing agent supply chamber 2, a dosing chamber 3, the outlet 5 of which is closable by a magnetic valve 6 and a rotatable dispensing member 7. With the flap of the machine closed, the device lies in a vertical plane so that the inlet 4 to the chamber 3 lies in the upper portion of the device. In this position, operation of the magnetic valve allows cleansing agent from the chamber 3 to enter the machine. To recharge the chamber 3, the flap is pivoted about a horizontal axis so that the device lies in a horizontal plane and liquid from the chamber 2 is able to enter the chamber 3 via the inlet 4. By adjusting the position of the member 7, the quantity of the dose to be dispensed to the machine may be varied.
