Abstract

The roof or base cap 1 of an hydraulic pit prop is provided with renewable spike projections in the form of inserts 6 together with serrations formed by triangular sectioned annular ribs 5. The cap is positioned on the prop by means of retention screws or is tiltably mounted thereon, see Fig. 7 (not shown).
