Ambulances. - To enable the upper stretchercarrier a to be lowered for loading and unloading, the supports therefor comprise pairs d, e of longitudinally' swinging links pivoted to the carrier and to the supports f, g of the lower carrier b. To allow the carriers to be turned up against the side of the vehicle when out of use, the carrier a has also longitudinally-disposed pivot connexions t, u with the links d, e, and the carrier b is similarly connected at v, w with the brackets g and the supports f, which are detachably connected with the floor of the vehicle. The links e are arranged behind fixed guide-bars r. The carrier a is set at an inclination in the lower position by means of a block 14 thereon.
