Abstract
The invention comprises compounds of formula <FORM:1026775/C2/1> wherein R1 is hydrogen, halogen, alkoxy (1-4C), acyloxy (2-4C), acylamino (2-4C), or hydroxy, and R2 is alkyl (1-4C); and their preparation by condensing a p-trifluoromethyl-p1-R11-hydrazobenzene (where R11 is hydrogen, halogen, alkoxy, acyloxy or acylamino) with a compound R2-CH(CO-Hal)2 (where Hal is chlorine or bromine) in the presence of an inert organic solvent, and optionally deacylating an acyloxy-product to the compound where R1 is hydroxy. Pharmaceutical compositions comprise compounds I, which are antiphlogistic, with carriers.
