Abstract

1,021,358. Road vehicle suspension. FORD MOTOR CO. Ltd. Jan. 9, 1965, No. 1080/65. Heading B7D. [Also in Division F2] An end connection at one end of a shock absorber 1 in a road vehicle suspension comprises a collar 2 and a sleeve 4 which are separated by a rubber or the like bush 3, the bush being provided with a plurality of apertures 5, 6 such that on applying a force in either direction along the end of the shock absorber 1 at the sleeve 4 the initial movement is taken up by the rubber bush. The shock absorber is actuated after this movement has been taken up. The connection is also described in combination with a lever-type shock absorber (Fig. 2, not shown).
