Abstract

1361947 Shock absorber end connections FORD MOTOR CO Ltd 23 Feb 1972 8249/72 Heading F2S A shock-absorber (Fig. 1, not shown) which interconnects sprung and unsprung parts of a vehicle comprises cylinder and piston members movable axially relative to each other, one (1, Fig. 1) of the members being connected to a part of the vehicle by a first fastener device (5, Fig. 1) attached to the free axial end of that member, and the other, 3, of the members being connected to the other part of the vehicle by a second fastener device 7 attached to that member axially inwardly of the free axial end of that member. The fastener device 7 is a rubber bush mounting and connects the piston member 3 of the shock-absorber to the unsprung part of the vehicle.
