Heading BIB. In a liquid film evaporator liquid is introduced to a heated tube 1 through an inlet 2 and rotating members 3 distribute the liquid over the tube wall, after evaporation the remaining liquid collecting in an annular trough 6 and being drawn off through pipe 7 and the vapour passing in direction of arrows F to be removed from a vapour chamber 5 through outlet 8. The outlet 8 is above the lower rim of the extension 1<SP>1</SP> of the tube 1. A heating jacket 9 surrounds the tube 1.
