Abstract

The invention comprises compounds of the general formula <FORM:1005022/C2/1> (wherein R3 represents an alkyl radical) and acid addition salts thereof, and their preparation by reacting a compound of the formula <FORM:1005022/C2/2> (wherein X represents a halogen atom) with a compound of the formula R3NH2, optionally followed by acid addition salt formation. The halohydrin starting material may be generated in situ by reduction of the corresponding 2-naphthacyl halide. The compounds of the invention are of value in the treatment of prophylaxis of coronary artery disease. Specifications 909,357, 1,005,021 and 1,005,023 are referred to.
