Abstract

1,000,380. Knitting. ONDERZOEKINGSINSTITUUT RESEARCH N.V. Aug. 1, 1962 [Aug. 3, 1961], No. 29550/62. Heading D1K. Fabric is warp knitted from two systems of yarn by causing, during each cycle of the machine, the yarns 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 of one system to form chain stitches over two needles and the yarns 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 of the other system to form inlays over two needles. As shown, the inlays are formed over four needles. The fabric may be made from nylon and one system of yarns may be of a different colour from the other to give an iridescent effect.
