Abstract

1,098,003. Prefabricated dwellings. TEXAS INDUSTRIES Inc. Feb. 1, 1965 [Feb. 17, 1964], No. 4355/65. Heading E1A. A dwelling, such as a bungalow, is constructed from prefabricated room units 2, each of which consists of a three dimensional skeleton framework to which is attached wall, floor and roof portions of concrete slab construction having a plurality of separately formed ribs 24 secured to one face thereof. The roof consists of a layer 22 of reinforced, compacted concrete having a layer of insulating material 76 on one side and a cork lining covered by a waterproof layer on the other side, soft board ceiling sheets 50 being secured to the ribs 24 by slabs 53.
