Abstract

1,092,263. Fuel injectors. HAILWOOD & ACKROYD Ltd. June 30, 1965 [July 6, 1964], No. 27671/65. Heading F1B. The axis 24 of the nozzle tip 30 of a fuel injector is inclined to the main axis 22 of the injector. As shown the injector is inclined to the cylinder axis 21 and the nozzle tip is curved so that the axis 26 of the end thereof is parallel to the cylinder axis. An outwardly opening fuel valve 31 is provided with a retraction piston 32 to prevent dribbling.
