1,090,041. Cables. DE STAAT DER NEDERLANDEN TEN DEZE VERTEGENWOORDIGD DOOR DE DIRECTEUR-GENERAAL DER POSTERIJEN, TELEGRAFIE EN TELEFONIE. Jan. 28, 1965 [Jan. 29, 1964], No. 3918/65. Heading H1A. In a coherent conductor group for a carriercurrent telephone cable, consisting of four conductors insulated from each other, each having a substantially flat crosssection, fixed at equal distances round an insulating core of thermoplastics material, each conductor is formed from several non-ferrous component conductors lying against each other and having an equal round cross-section. As shown, the cable has a core of foam polyethylene and a polyethylene jacket and may have a control thread of hard synthetic material on a conductor. The component conductors can be of copper and are twisted together with nylon threads around the core. In another embodiment (Fig. 3, not shown), the core is formed with helical grooves in which the nylon threads and component conductors are laid. The component conductors can be provided with an insulating film.
