1,084,011. Sealing slrips. SILENT CHANNEL CO. Ltd. April 23, 1965 [April 27, 1964], No. 17436/64. Heading E1J. A sealing strip for edging windows &c., has an effective solid or hollow rubber &c., sealing portion 2 and an integral tangential web 3 with an inverted channel metal strip member 5 gripping the web 3 and having outwardly curved walls 6 adapted to be comp- .ressed onto the enlarged head or rib 4 when inserted so as to grip the walls of a mounting groove 14 in a sash &c. The sealing strip effective portion 2 may be an extrusion of a synthetic rubber with a closed cell sponge structure or it may be moulded of natural rubber or of a plastics material, or it may have an interior of sponge rubber with an outer skin of rubber applied to the sponge interior.
