Abstract

1,048,101. Draught excluders. C. HOLZAEPFEL and A. HOLZAEPFEL. June 7, 1963 [June 9, 1962], No. 22719/63. Heading E1J. A sealing strip 13 of natural or synthetic resinous material (e.g. rubber) secured to the edge of a door 14 or the like has an arcuate lip 13<SP>1</SP> of softer material connected only along one edge of the strip 13. The door 14 is shown in its open and closed positions. The strip 13 and lip 13<SP>1</SP> taper towards their free edges, which interengage when the door is closed. The strip is secured by glueing and has a preferably integral serrated piece 15 engaging a slot in the door. The door 14 is chamfered to clear a second door 16 and closes against a stop 17. In a modification the edges of both doors are chamfered and each is provided with a sealing strip.
