Abstract
1,082,356. Two-part couplings. W. ZUMTOBEL. Oct. 23, 1964, No. 43231/64. Heading H2E. A starter 2 (Fig. 4) for a fluorescent lamp is held by its terminal pins 22, 23 in a socket 1, the pins passing through apertures formed partly in a cylindrical part of a rotatable holding member 3 which is then turned with the pins to the position shown in Fig. 3 so that the pins engage spring contact members 4. The pins are held in the socket against withdrawal by their enlarged ends 23 abutting the ledge 13. Cams 32 integral with the holding member 3 engage the spring members 4 to hold the socket in position for the entry of the terminal pins 22, 23 and also serve to prevent the member from being detached from the socket body 1.
