Abstract

905,055. Lamp caps and holders. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Sept. 9, 1960, No. 31149/60. Class 38 (1). In a two-pin fluorescent, lamp-holder 1 (Fig. 1) of the type wherein the pins are turned through 90 degrees after insertion in the holder to engage the contact strips, the metal ring, which encircles the pin assembly, is earthed by a resilient contact member 8, having a hexagonal body portion 11 (Fig. 4) in a hexagonal hole in the lamp-holder, and engaging a securing screw 9 in contact with the earthed metal lamp housing 17, end having a hollow slidable contact portion 14, biased by coil spring 12.
