Abstract

1,079,702. Ignition systems. ROBERT BOSCH G. m. b. H. Aug. 7, 1964 [Aug. 10, 1963], No. 32355/64. Heading F1B. An ignition system comprises a transistor 31 connected by its emitter collector path in series with the primary winding 12 of an ignition coil, a contact breaker 21, 22 arranged in parallel with the base-collector path of the transistor for controlling the transistor from the conducting into the non-conducting state and a base circuit connected in parallel with the emitter base path of the transistor, the base circuit comprising a feedback winding 38 of the ignition coil magnetically coupled with its primary winding and additional to its secondary HT winding, a resistor 39 and a rectifier 40 connected in series with one another, the rectifier being current conductive in the same sense as the emitter base path of the transistor. There may be two transistors connected by their emitter collector paths in series with one another and with the primary winding of the ignition coil and a similar base circuit may be connected in parallel with the emitter base path of each of the two transistors, the ignition coil having two feedback windings one for each base circuit.
