A device for supporting cables or pipes in coal mines includes a main supporting bar 10 which can be fixed to a roof arch girder by means of hooked bolts 14 and wing nuts 15 and has projecting laterally from it arms 17 each of which comprises a spindle 18 on which is journalled a roller 19, and a barrier arm 21 pivoted to spindle 18.
