Abstract
1,077,110. Ignition plugs. E. SCHNIERING and H. W. N. WESTERMANN. Nov. 23, 1964 [Nov.22, 1963], No. 47637/64. Heading F1B. An ignition plug, particularly for a carburetter engine or a fuel injection engine having an internal combustion chamber into which the plug fits, has at least one ignition chamber 2 whose volume is varied by the motion of a differential piston 4 acting against a spring 5, the ignition chamber being connectable to the combustion chamber by means of one or more feed channels 3 associated with the differential piston, the pressure of the spring being adjustable by means of a screw 6 and the largest piston surface of the differential piston being exposed to the combustion chamber. In a modification the ignition chamber is a cylindrical bore in the differential piston and a fixed piston is associated with the cylindrical bore.
