Abstract

1,075,610. Garden hand tools. WOODSTREAM CORPORATION. May 7, 1965, No. 19325/65. Heading A1B. [Also in Division B4] A garden tool has a handle comprising a first portion 9 to receive the shank (6) of the tool longitudinally therein, an integrally off-set portion 13 and a grip portion 14 integral with the off-set portion and having a major part (14b) extending rearwardly of the off-set portion and a portion 14a extending forwardly. The underside surface of the part (14b) has finger recesses (17, 18, 19) and the forward off-set portion 13 has a finger recess (21). The tool may comprise a trowel, Figs. 4 and 5 (not shown), or a hand cultivator 1 having a tine 2 to which is secured by welding a shaped metal member bent to form two tines 3, 4.
