Abstract

1,073,177. Bottles; stoppers. A. A. FIL. LEUL. Aug. 4, 1964 [Aug. 3, 1963; Jan. 31, 1964; April 8, 1964], No. 31690/64. Headings B8D and B8T. A composite bottle is formed from an outer casing (1), Fig. 1, of glass open at the base, a replaceable inner container (4) of flexible plastics and a push-on base member (6) of rigid plastics, the container (4) having a top portion which may be cut off to dispense the contents and reclosed by means of a screw-plug 15, Fig. 2, A securing member of plastics,. may be rotated by means of a knurled part 13 thereby raising the container, (4) on a screw-.thread (11) until its top portion assumes the position shown in interrupted lines. The closure may have a hollow portion to accommodate the top part of the container (4), Figs. 3 and 4. The container (4) may have a compartment (37), Fig. 6, with a weakened wall (38) to which a tie is attached, enabling the wall to be ruptured and the contents to be mixed into the container. The container (4) may be filled through a hollow appendage (4a), Fig. 5, which is subsequently welded or heat-sealed (at 36).
