Abstract
1,071,608. Cooking vessels. G. A. M. J. WAMBERGUE and E. J. J. M. CALLIES. June 22, 1964 [Feb. 7, 1964; April 6, 1964], No. 25730/64. Heading A4A. A cooking vessel compriss a lower container 1 and an upper container 2, a removable perforated plate 3 to space the contents from the heated base being provided in the base of the lower container and the containers, filled with food to be cooked being superposed by engagement of the mouth 2b in the mouth 1b to an extent limited by a shoulder 1c. Cooking is effected by steam from a small quantity of water placed in the lower container. Port or valve means for the escape of steam to signal for reduction of heating may be 'provided at the mouths. Both containers may be of aluminium, the lower one having graduation marks, or the upper container may be of transparent material resistant to steam. In a further modification an inner glass container is supported on a shoulder in the lower container, steam entering the space between the upper container and the inner container to assist the cooking operation. The plate 3 has an integral annular base 3a or rests on a shoulder in the lower container.
