Abstract

1,038,577. Shelves. SAINSBURY & PARKINSON Ltd. July 21, 1965 [April 22, 1964], No. 16609/64. Heading A4B. A metal shelf 1 mounted on a wall over a radiator has two pairs of studs 3 welded perpendicularly to the underside of the shelf and rubber mounting blocks having open-ended T-section slots 5 have holes 6 to receive the studs so that when angle brackets 11 are slid into the slots the studs engage the brackets to retain the shelf in position, the rubber blocks being stressed. Leaf springs having prongs 9 are engaged with the studs to retain the blocks on the studs and the rear edge of the shelf has a foam rubber strip 10.
