Abstract
1,069,714. Electrically - heated curtains. CAMEO CURTAINS Inc. May 13, 1964 [May 13, 1963], No. 19816/64. Heading H5H. A curtain lining panel 10 of heat-resistant woven glass-fibre material carries an electrical heating element in the form of a sinuous insulated wire 15 disposed in pockets 28 in the lining formed by overcast threads integral with the weave, Figs, 3 and 4 (not shown), the element 15 and a similar member 16 being connected to a plug 18 engageable with a mains supply 19, 20, and to snap fastening elements 17, 21 connectible by a bridge element, Fig. 2 (not shown), to complete the electrical circuit. Alternatively the elements 17, 21 may be connected to similar fasteners of a second similar lining panel to electrically connect its heating element with that - of the first panel, the second panel having a second pair of fastening elements connectible by a bridge element as described above. The' fasteners may serve to electrically and mechanically connect a plurality of lining panels, Fig. 5 (not shown). Thermostatic' control may be provided in the plug 18.
