Abstract

1,067,679. Ladders. H. C. SLINGSBY Ltd. and J. F. SLINGSBY. Feb. 14, 1964 [Nov. 16, 1962], No. 43379/62. Heading A6L. A rung 7, particularly for ladders of impregnated glass fibre, is glued inside a sleeve 4 which,is accommodated in a hole in the inner wall 3 of the stile so that one end abuts the other wall 2 and a flange 5 on the sleeve abuts the inner wall 3, the parts being glued in position. A plug 8 is glued in the end of the rung and has a flange 9 glued to the stile. When used as a section of an extending ladder another section runs on an extension 6 of the sleeve and against the radiused side of the flange 5.
