Abstract

1,055,602. Gas burners. KOPPERS-WISTRA-OFFENBAU G.m.b.H. April 30, 1965 [May 2, 1964], No. 18403/65. Headings F4F and F4T. A gas burner comprises a refractory brick having a plurality of outwardly flaring discharge nozzles 3 and tapering ignition ducts 8 extending horizontally or obliquely between adjacent discharge nozzles 3. An ignition device 6 ignites one discharge nozzle 3 and the flame travels through the ignition ducts 8 to the others. A gas/air mixture is supplied to the discharge nozzles 3 from converging nozzles 4 fed with gas; air nozzles 5 lead to the conveying nozzles 4.
