Abstract

1,048,305. Floor drying apparatus. DIETHELM & CO. A.G. Sept. 25, 1964 [Sept. 27, 1963], No. 39258/64. Heading A4F. Suction apparatus for removing soiled washing water from a floor comprises a motor fan unit 2 which draws a mixture of air and soiled water through a suction hose (not shown) and a nipple 18 into a container 1 until the latter is so filled that a float 14, of material that will float on the liquid 15 or on the foam 16 thereon, is drawn against a sealing ring 5 by the air stream flowing through the passage 20 between a disc 12 and the edge of an opening 4 in a wall 3,, to close the opening 4. The entry of foam or liquid into the fan unit 2 is thus prevented.
