Abstract

The device has a number of rigid transport plates (9) moved around an endless conveyor path with a pair of conveyor chains (2A,2B) to which each plate (9) is attached at two vertically spaced points (10A,10B). The profiles (S1) are fed onto the transport plates (9) by a roller conveyor (R) and fed-off in a perpendicular direction onto a wheeled stacking trolley (P) with horizontal stacking plates (PS). The endless conveyor path is formed by a series of chain pairs (2A,2B), to each of which triangular transport plates (9) are attached so that the horizontal support surfaces remain horizontal. The plates (9) pass between the rollers of the roller conveyor (R) for receiving the profiles (S1) and are fed upwards at an angle to one side. They are released from one chain (2B) and fed vertically downwards past the stacking plates (PS), before being fed onto one of them by a horizontal feed chain (14).
