Abstract

1,180,030. Endless conveyers. ROSE FORGROVE Ltd. 30 June, 1967, No. 31584/66. Heading B8A. [Also in Division G1] Check-weighing apparatus comprising a belt or a plurality of laterally spaced belts 17 passing over a weighing platform 18 is provided with a conveyer 14 having spaced pusher plates 15 for pushing a succession of spaced articles 11 towards the weighing platform 18, the conveyer 14 and the belt or belts 17 being so driven that the articles are accelerated away from their respective pusher plates 15 during the passage of the articles over the weighing platform 18. After being weighed each article is conveyed by the belt or belts 17 to a platform 33 where such article awaits its associated pusher plate 15 to be moved thereby along the platform 33. The belt or belts 17 may be trained over rollers 19, 21, 22 and between a drive roller 24 and a spring-biased nip roller 27, the drive roller 24 being driven by means of a belt and pulley arrangement 29, 30.
