CUANDO EL RADICAL R2 REPRESENTA UN GRUPO AMINO ALQUILO EL GRUPO AMINO DEL AMINO ACIDO TIENE QUE PROTEGERSE ADECUADAMENTE, POR LO QUE SE LE HACE REACCIONAR PRIMERO CON ANHIDRIDO FTALICO PARA FORMAR EL AMINO-ACIDO PROTEGIDO DE FORMULA (II), Y POSTERIORMENTE CON TIOCARBOHIDRAZIDA; DEL COMPUESTO OBTENIDO SE SEPARA EL GRUPO PROTECTOR POR REACCION CON HIDRAZINA.
