Abstract

Procedimiento para preparar nuevas haloacetanilidas N-substituidas, útiles como herbicidas, particularmente como herbicidas selectivos. Ya se ha dado a conocer que cloroacetanilidas, tales como por ejemplo la 2,6- dietil-N-metoximetil-cloroacetanilida y la 2-etil- 6-metilN-(1''-metil-2''-metoxietil)-cloroacetanilida pueden ser empleadas como herbicidas. Estos compuestos son eficaces principalmente contra gramíneas del tipo del mijo, por ejemplo Digitaria, Echinochloa, Panicum y Setaria. Sin embargo otras gramíneas dañinas como por ejemplo Alopecurus myosuroides y Avena fatua, solamente son alcanzadas por las substancias activas mencionadas cuando se aplican en cantidades mayores pero empleando esas mayores dosificaciones se producen daños manifiestos en las plantas cultivadas, por ejemplo en remolachas azucareras, soya y maiz, de modo que en esos cultivos las substancias activas no pueden ser aplicadas como herbicidas selectivos.
