Abstract
Process for obtaining transparent polyamides by polycondensation of diamines and dicarboxylic acids, and respectively of their amide-forming derivatives, in a manner known per se and under current conditions, characterized by the use of: a) Mixtures of isomeric aminomethyl-aminopropylnorbonanes of the formulas **(See formula)** where R1 represent a NH2-CH2 residue and R2 a 1-aminopropyl-2 residue or a 3-aminopropyl-1 residue, or mixtures of the mentioned isomeric diamines with one or more other diamine (s), and precisely aliphatic diamine (s) (s) or cycloaliphatic (s) with 2 to 20, and preferably 2 to 12, carbon atoms, or aromatic diamine (s) with 6 to 20, and preferably 6 to 15 carbon atoms, first of all diamine (mononuclear (s) of the benzene series, or aromatic-aliphatic diamine (s) with 7 to 20 carbon atoms, and b) one or more dicarboxylic acid (s), and precisely aliphatic or cycloaliphatic dicarboxylic acid (s) with 2 to 20, and preferably 2 to 12, carbon atoms, or acid aromatic dicarboxylic acid (s) with 7 to 20, and preferably 8 to 15, carbon atoms, first and foremost mononuclear dicarboxylic acid (s) from the benzene series, or mixtures of the dicarboxylic acids mentioned with one or more aminocarboxylic acid (s) with 2 to 20, and preferably 2 to 12, carbon atoms, first of all omega-aminocarboxylic acid (s) and respectively their lactams .
