Abstract

An electric connector comprises a stirrup member 1 with overlapping arms 2, 3 which are enclosed in a slot in a nut member 6, and a screw 4 which passes through the threaded hole 9 and the smooth hole 5 to clamp the conductors 11 and 12 tightly against the bottom of the stirrup member. The arm 7 of the nut is resilient so that when the screw is tightened against the conductors the stirrup arm 3 will bear up against nut arm 7 causing a locking effect on the threads.
