Abstract

An electrical connector connecting device for connecting together two coaxial or armed cables of the type having a separate outer conductor and isolated from a solid inner conductor and protected by an outer insulating sheath, the connector comprising an outer conductive body or shell with both ends adapted for connection to the outer conductors of the cables, and a female receptacle or inner socket of two ends supported by an insulating insert inside the conductive envelope for application of elastic contact with each of the inner conductors of the cables, characterized by cylindrical extensions of reduced diameter at each end of the insulating insert; each cylindrical extension having an axial bore intended to receive the insulation of one end of the cable, being in communication with one end of the receptacle and carrying a rigid support sleeve on which each of the outer ends of the conductive envelope can be upset to imprison the outer conductor of the cable; and an insulating sleeve covering the outer envelope and having extensions at both ends, each prolongation carrying a metal bushing intended to be upset on the insulation sheath of the cables.
