Abstract

1,090,905. Two-part couplings. PRESSAC Ltd. Feb. 19, 1965 [March 26, 1964], No. 12821/64. Heading H2E. The resilience of a tubular socket 1 having a longitudinal slit 6 is increased by cutting out V- shaped notches 5 approximately half-way along the tubular portion. The mating contact pin is only half its usual length (Fig. 3, not shown) i.e. it extends only as far as the notches 5 when fully inserted into the socket. The sockets are connected to cables 2 by means of tags 4 which grip the insulation on the cable and tags 3 which are crimped about the bare wires, and mounted in a multiple socket connector.
