Description
Die Erfindung betrifft einerseits ein Verfahren zur abdichtenden Befestigung eines ein Gehäuse mit zwei Leitungen aufweisenden Anschlussadapters an einem Heizkörper, wobei die eine Leitung mit ihrem Anschlussflansch an einen Stutzen des Heizkörpervorlaufs und die andere Leitung an einen Stutzen des Heizkörperrücklaufs angeschlossen wird. Die Erfindung betrifft gleichfalls den Anschlussadapter selber, der zum Anschluss eines Ventils, insbesondere eines Thermostatventils, oder einer Pumpe an einem Heizkörper geeignet ist. Claims (18)
- A method for sealingly securing a connection adapter (5) comprising a housing (8) with two lines to a heating element (1), whereby the one line is connected with its connection flange (9) to a support (10a) of the heating element inflow and the other line is connected to a support (10b) of the heating element return,
characterized in that the frontal surfaces of the connection flanges (9) are placed on frontal surfaces of the supports (10a, 10b) by means of a respective seal (13),
in that the housing (8) is secured on the heating element (1) by means of a securing means (14) so as to be capable of being removed, whereby the securing means (14) engages with a part (16) connected to the heating element (1) in such a manner that a flux of forces generating a contact pressure between the connection adapter (5) and the heating element (1), flows through the housing (8),
whereby the part (16) is secured on the heating element (1) so as to be incapable of being removed. - The method according to claim 1,
characterized in that the housing (8) is secured to the heating element (1) by means of a single securing means (14), which engages with the side of the housing (8) facing away from the connection flanges (9). - The method according to claim 2,
characterized in that the securing means (14) is a screw, which reaches through a hole (15) in the housing (8) and which acts upon an inner thread (16) located at the heating element (1). - A connection adapter, in particular for converting the method according to one of claims 1 to 3, for connecting a valve, in particular a thermostatic valve and/or of pipes and/or a pump at a heating element (1), whereby the connection adapter (5) comprises a housing (8) with two connection flanges (9), which are provided for the connection to corresponding supports (10) of the heating element (1),
characterized in
that the connection flanges (9) comprise frontal sealing surfaces (11), which can be sealingly placed on supports (10) of the heating element (1),
and in that provision is made for a securing means (14), which engages with the side of the housing (8) facing away from the connection flanges (9), and with which a force which acts axially in relation to the connection flanges (9) can be produced by engagement with a retaining means (16) being secured to the heating element (1) so as to be incapable of being removed. - The connection adapter according to claim 4,
characterized in that the connection flanges (9) comprise sealing surfaces (11) inserted into the housing (8), in particular by means of rotation, which surround the openings (12) of the lines extending in the housing (8). - The connection adapter according to claim 5,
characterized in that the sealing surfaces (11) form receptacles for insertion of the seals (13). - The connection adapter according to one of claims 4 to 6,
characterized in that a radial and/or axial groove, into which the seal (13) or an O-ring (19) can be placed, is inserted in the area of the connection flange (9) or of the sealing surface (11). - The connection adapter according to one of claims 4 to 7,
characterized in that the opening (12) is surrounded by a preferably conical protrusion, against which the seal (13) or the o-ring (19) can be placed. - The connection adapter according to one of claims 4 to 8,
characterized in that the sealing surfaces (11) lie in a common plane. - The connection adapter according to one of claims 4 to 9,
characterized in that the securing means (14) is a screw, which reaches through a hole (15) inserted in the housing (8) and the head of which is accessible from the side of the housing (8) facing away from the connection flanges (9). - The connection adapter according to claim 10,
characterized in that the hole (15) is parallel to the axes of the connection flanges (9) and lies in the plane formed by the axes, whereby the hole (15) extends centrally between the axes so as to evenly distribute the force to both connection flanges (9). - The connection adapter according to claims 10 or 11,
characterized in that the screw (14) can be screwed into an inner thread (16) located at the heating element (1). - A heating element, in particular for connecting a connection adapter according to one of claims 4 to 12,
characterized in that a retaining means (16) is secured at the heating element so as to be incapable of being removed, whereby the retaining means (16) has an inner thread, which is centrally arranged between the support (10a) of the heating element inflow and the support (10b) of the heating element return. - The heating element according to claim 13,
characterized in that the inner thread (16) is inserted into a connecting piece (17), which connects the support (10a) of the heating element inflow with the support (10b) of the heating element return. - The heating element according to claim 14,
characterized in that the connecting piece (17) is secured to the supports (10a, 10b) by means of welding. - A system comprising a connection adapter (5) according to one of claims 4 to 12, and a heating element (1) according to one of claims 13 to 15.
- The system according to claim 16,
characterized in that a stop, which ensures a defined distance between the two components, is provided between the heating element (1) and the housing (9). - The system according to claim 16 or 17 with a connection adapter according to claim 8,
characterized in that the seal (13) or the o-ring (19) abuts on the inner wall or the inner thread of the support (10a, 10b) of the heating element (1).
