- A camping vehicle, in particular a caravan or mobile home, having a connecting rail (1, 2; 12) for the attachment of awnings or canopy roofs, having one groove profile (1) with preferably a round groove (9) for housing the thickened edge, the weatherstrip of an awning and a narrow groove opening (4) and having a fastening profile (2) embedded in a recess (10) in the outer wall of the camping vehicle for the attachment of the connecting rail to the camping vehicle,
